Violin Spark processes tuner audio and imported scores on your device. The app has no account system, advertising or analytics integration.
Microphone audio
Tuner asks for microphone access to detect pitch. Audio is analyzed on your device using the browser’s audio APIs. Violin Spark does not record, store or upload this microphone audio.
You can stop microphone use by closing Tuner or closing the app. You can revoke microphone permission in your browser or device settings.
Scores and exports
Imported score files are parsed and saved on your device with their organization and practice settings. Violin Spark does not upload those files. Removing an imported score deletes its app copy; external originals remain unchanged. Clearing website data or uninstalling the app can remove saved scores. PNG and MIDI exports are created on your device; another app handles sharing when you choose to share an export.
Before opening the system language settings, the installed app temporarily saves the current score, MIDI track data and reading position on your device. It deletes this checkpoint after restoring the score or returning to the app. This data is not uploaded.
Data stored on your device
Display and sound preferences, the score library and practice settings are saved on your device. The website uses browser storage; the installed iPhone and iPad app uses its private storage. Selected background images and downloaded instrument samples may also be stored on the device.
Choose Remove in Background settings to delete the saved image. Sound cache repair clears downloaded instrument samples. Clearing this site’s browser data removes saved scores, preferences, backgrounds and cached samples. In the installed app, removing the app clears its local data.
Network requests
The public privacy, support and help pages are hosted by Cloudflare. Visiting these pages sends normal network request information to Cloudflare, including your IP address, the requested URL and browser headers.
The website downloads its application files, built-in scores and instrument samples from the website host. The installed app reads its bundled samples on your device. Playback does not contact external sample providers; unavailable samples cause a loading error. The website host receives normal network request information, such as an IP address, requested URL and browser headers. Microphone audio and imported scores are not included in those requests.
Support emails
If you email support, the developer receives the address, message and attachments you send, and uses them to respond to your request. Email is handled by the email services you and the developer use.
